Day1 : ARRIVAL - LIGNANO SABBIADORO (OR GRADO)


Arrival during the day.
Meeting with the guide who will accompany you on all visits throughout your stay.
Dinner and overnight at the hotel. Lunch not included.
Accommodation in Hotel in Lignano Sabbiadoro (or Grado) or in its region.

Day 2: TRIESTE


Breakfast at the hotel.
Meeting with the guide and departure for the visit of Trieste, the capital of the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region in northeastern Italy. The port city occupies a narrow strip of land between the Adriatic coast and the border with Slovenia, on the Karst plateau. Its architecture, which includes a medieval old town and an Austrian neoclassical quarter, bears witness to its Italian, Austro-Hungarian and Slovenian influences.

Back to the hotel. Dinner and overnight.

Day 3: AROUND TRIESTE


Breakfast at the hotel.
Meeting with the guide and departure for the planned sightseeing: on the road to Trieste, visit to the military cemetery of Redipuglia, where 100,000 soldiers who died at the front during the First World War were buried; then visit the Torri di Slivia cave.
Lunch during the day.
Back to the hotel. Dinner and overnight.

Day 4: PALMANOVA


Breakfast at the hotel.
Meeting with the guide and departure for the visit of Palmanova. Founded in 1593 by the Republic of Venice to resist any possible Ottoman invasion; this city has the particularity of having a fortification with nine branches. The fortifications were further improved under the Napoleonic Empire. From 1815 the city passed under the imperial crown of the Austro-Hungarian Empire; it returned to Italy in 1866 with the annexation of Veneto and Friuli to Italy and was later included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
Passage and stop at the outlet village near Palmanova for some shopping.

Day 5: GRADO - AQUILEIA


Breakfast at the hotel.
Meeting with the guide and departure for the sightseeing in Grado and Aquileia.
A spa and thalassotherapy center, as well as a seaside resort favored by the Austro-Hungarian emperors, Grado is known for the beauty of its lagoon and its beautiful sandy beach, the only south-facing beach in the Adriatic, which earned it the title of Isola del Sole. Grado also has a pleasant historic center, crossed by narrow streets. Visit to the historic center and to the Cathedral of Sant'Eufemia.
Continuation to Aquileia. Historically, the city, founded in 181 BC. A.D. it was, at its peak, one of the most important cities of the Roman Empire, today it is renowned for the beauty of the mosaics of its basilica. Visit of this magnificent Roman-Gothic building, which houses the largest early Christian mosaic of Western Christianity (760 m2), which dates back to the 4th century.

Back to the hotel. Dinner and overnight.

Day 6: UDINE - VILLA MANIN – SAN DANIELE DEL FRIULI


Breakfast at the hotel.
Meeting with the guide and departure for the day-long sightseeing in Udine and its main points of interest. Capital of the historic region of Friuli, the city of Udine is dominated by its castle located on a hill. Pleasant town with buildings from the late Middle Ages and the Renaissance and pretty squares. At the foot of the hill there is Piazza Libertà. It is a very lively square that has a beautiful bell tower in the center with two giant statues on each side.
Visit of the Villa Manin in PASSARIANO DI CODROIPO, near Udine.
Visit to a San Daniele ham factory, with tasting during the day.
Lunch during the day.
Back to the hotel. Dinner and overnight.

Day 7: RETURN


Breakfast at the hotel.
Return to your place of origin.
